SOUTHERN KARATE ASSOCIATION
ABOUT SKA
At the Southern Karate Association (SKA) we pride ourselves as being educators as well as martial artists, who collectively have decades and decades of experience in helping children and adults on their journeys towards their martial arts goals. In this process we get to see our students improve their self-protection skills, build confidence, and get in the best shape of their lives!

Martial arts has many physical, mental and social benefits, and is suitable for anyone and everyone of all ages. You too can become part of something positive, learning new skills from trained martial arts professionals.

The meaning of the Triskelion revolves around movement, energy, and cycles in life. In turn, this progress and movement present the ability to move forward and overcome adversity, which makes it one of the main symbols for strength.
To us this strength comes from the unity of
mind, body and spirit; and the fact that
we as a group share a collective goal to
learn and improve consistently over time.

MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
SKA training helps students develop strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. Children will get to improve gross motor skills, and teenagers become physically active.
SKA's adult syllabus is built to gradually improve physical attributes consistently over time, giving them the opportunity to be in the best physical condition of their lives. Our classes and structure we believe offer an excellent alternative to mainstream sports, with the emphasis being on your own personal journey and achievement.
SKA's training challenges your mind as well as your body. In every class, and at every belt level, you'll discover new skills as you explore the history, development and philosophy of the arts we practice.
At SKA we believe training becomes a form of moving meditation, a time of mindfulness which helps to alleviate the stresses of everyday life.
Every session is conducted in a stress-free environment, safe from the pressures of modern life, where self-reflection, goal setting and visualisation will inevitably lead to your own personal growth
